Ragefire Chasm is the very first instance accessible to the horde. Located in the belly of the beast known as Orgrimmar it hides many a trogg, elemental and hostile orc.
Since Ragefire Chasm is level 13 to 20 I decided to just run through, hit things, throw in a heal if I ever needed one and not really think about it.


As a druid I found that the easiest way to kill the troggs and most of the orcs was to hit barkskin and then hurricane; hurricane does enough damage to kill these mobs after being hit about twice with the lightning. The only problem (I say problem, really it was just annoying) was the stun that the Searing Blade Enforcers hit you with; it is enough to interrupt any spell casting and draws out the fight.


Whenever hurricane was on cooldown or I was fighting elementals (they are immune to nature damage) I shifted into bear form and constantly used swipe; although this method took a while to finish off the fights it was extremely easy and I didn't have to think about it!

It took about 30 minutes to complete this instance; in this time I managed to kill every single mob, disenchant any drops and even managed to sort out my bags which is a feat in itself! It would have been quicker if swipe hit more enemies but even that is better than hitting them with my stick (yes, I have a staff :p)

The highlight of the run through Ragefire Chasm was the inabilty to get out! Despite my best attempts it took three times of going around to find the right path!

In conclusion, this was (as everyone can imagine) a very easy instance although my sense of direction needs to be improved! It's just all those winding slippery slopey paths...
