Previously this year Blizzard hinted at a 2008 release for Wrath of the Lich King; we learned from the Vivendi earning statement that this second expansion was anticipated to be released "in the second half of 2008".
Blizzard are famed for only releasing games when they are ready despite any anticipated release dates. Today, however, we learn from Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime that "it's not coming in the July to September quarter" and that Beta testing "is going very well".
We can now conclude that Wrath of the Lich King is looking for release sometime from October to December. |
