Controversially, Blizzard was going to reset all honour and marks on release of Wrath of the Lich King. Today we have learnt from Bornakk in a post on the forums that this is no longer going ahead.
The reason for the honour wipe was in order to level the playing field for players buying PvP gear; there could be no stock piling honour in order to buy the level 80 gear as soon as possible. Blizzard, however, have changed their mind because "it isn’t something [they've] done in the past". They are, however, ensuring that level 80 PvP gear will be "significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts".
